Air Conditioning Fault Tutor

Description

NiYo Engineers’ Air Conditioning Fault Tutor is a training equipment that helps trainees understand troubleshooting in air conditioner. Trainees can also study various air-conditioning process, plot pressure-enthalpy chart, calculate COP and more.

The equipment is a comprehensive plant, which incorporates an axial flow fan, damper and duct, test chamber, electronic control panel and facility to vary the load. Temperature sensors at various points facilitate psychometric studies.

There is a teacher’s panel using which instructor can clandestinely create a fault. The trainees then diagnose and locate the fault. Various electrical as well as refrigerant system faults can be generated like under-charging, over-charging, evaporator choked, expansion valve malfunction, condenser fan-motor fault and many more.

Refrigerant is compressed using a compressor. Type of compressor can be selected by the user and application, For example, hermetically sealed, semi-hermetic, open, reciprocating, scroll, rotary, etc.

Depending on the training need one or more of the expansion devices can be selected for comparative studies. Expansion devices can be capillary, thermostatic expansion valve or electronic expansion valve.

Power input to the compressor is measured along with pressure and temperature at various points, for better understanding of refrigeration process and calculation of efficiency, COP and other parameters of interest.

Various air conditioning process like humidification, dehumidification, cooling, etc. can be demonstrated.

System can be loaded from minimum to maximum capacity.

Capacity of the Trainer can be selected based on the training requirement
